Now that I’m slightly more than four I still have one in the pocket of my hunting jacket, another in my fishing tackle box, and a couple more in my man cave. Catapults will always be part of my life and I still use the principles and skills they taught me to maintain my shooting. If I’m anything in the shooting world, it originally came from learning how to shoot with a catapult. There are a massive amount of skills involved in shooting a catapult well: timing, stance, release, follow-through, and ammo selection, plus range estimation, trajectory and windage knowledge, and all sorts of associated skills. All of that stuff was ingrained in me from when I was a toddler until I was old enough to afford an air rifle and shotguns myself. The shooting principles are the same. I’ll never forget them and still to this day when I want to unwind, I’ll pick up my catapult and just mess around with it and shoot a few cans or whatever. It’s always been the same and it won’t change. My dad used a catapult when he was a young man, and at 86, he still uses one. Some of the models around today are nothing short of amazing and I’m determined to see for myself how far the catapult that’s been my constant companion for over 50 years has developed. Meanwhile, I’d like to wish Adam and his team the very best of luck with the magazine, and here’s to a bright and successful future!   Terry Doe AGREETINGFROMTERRYDOE: Catapult Lifer & Airgun Aristocrat Keith Dighton BCA Legend Mark Clark Team England REDACTED Initial G Really Awesome Design Slingshot Stig Dead Shot Terry’s Field Target Achievements: European Champion, USA Champion, two-time UK Spring Gun Champion, World Team Champ Winning Member, multiple Grand Prix winner, over 50 main event titles & over 400 trophies.
