More and more people are asking about catapults and wanting to get into catapults and wanting to come to shoots. And bad, our venue is now getting too small. We are looking at larger venues just to cater for the volume of people coming through the door. I sincerely hope and believe that in the future this sport could be televised and could actually be an Olympic sport. Hopefully within my lifetime… for starters, the shoot at Newport has been a brilliant success. Lots of fun to be had and a massive turn out - the best the BCA have ever had at an indoor event and the standard of shooting has been quite frankly insane. We even had some completely new faces turn up and win firsts in the SemiPro Tier who have never been to a shoot before! For us in the BCA that is very refreshing because we want to encourage new people into the sport to have a go and see how they fare. It good to see people coming in with the ability to win the semi pro classes. I have been shooting catapults for twenty-five years and yet I am still amazed at how accurate a catapult can actually be. The Tic-Tac challenge is an 8mm by 3mm target at a distance of sixty-six feet. A young man, less than fourteen years old, hitting it, in less than two seconds on his first shot! Tell me that is not impressive? Very easy to pick up, very difficult to master…Learn about the next shoot, here: www.facebook.com/bcaevents Find the video here: http:// www.slingshotworld.co.uk/british- catapult-association-indoor-catapult- championship-march-2018-shot-in-4k/ Next Generation shooter!
