REAL Screaming Demons. Wanna try an experiment?

April 1st saw us run a silly spoof that was so close to reality, that a load of folks fell for it. We even had someone – a classic pompous type busy telling the thread all about how we hadn’t thought of it first and telling us about a video. ALL without reading the story, let alone seeing the video he was referring to, embedded right there in the story. The funniest thing was how the self-appointed expert had no clue it was an April Fool, bless him.

But it did have basis in fact and there is another video, as well as the Jöerg Sprave one:

And this got me thinking. I live close to a serious supplier of nuts and bolts, so I went on their website and looked at things with holes in them that didn’t go all the way through, since ‘drilled bullets’ would mean absurd cost. I looked into it at first and found it meant me supplying the UHC steel balls and the precision engineers drilling a hole at £6 to £17 each ball!

But it was simple. The cheapest is a dome nut and the cheapest of those is the bright shiny kind.

So I bought some!

Screamin’ DEMONS?

I tried ramming one in my fist and blowing across the top. The wee M4 ones, were a bit shrill to work very well, but the M6 made a good whistle. I reckon if you have an accomplice – or your camera on a holder – hidden from damage behind a treetrunk and shoot past it, you will hear the whistle. I think it might take some serious speed to make it happen!

WHO WANTS SOME?
