Brought forward in a flurry of excitement and not even slated to be ready until 2019, the brand new WASP TriGrip Slingshot frame is here.
It has been out with test shooters for months and before that was a prototype made some while ago by Simon Wasp, who then had it cast. Only thing is, the Pro-Shot catapults foundry turned the test and final castings around so fast that it has brought the entire production schedule forwards by months!

After 10 months of development we at Wasp bring to the table a new concept in Slingshot Frame design.
Better Grip – No twist – torque loading is in the palm not on fingers – less muscle fatigue – greater ability to accurately position and stabilise. The shape locates regardless of hand size and does not rely on finger or hand strength. Just some the reasons why this shape works. So after numerous multiplex mock-up frames. We built a silicone mould and cast a few frames from Task Resin enabling test shooting to commence. Big thanks here to the test shooters, and those who had input on the final shaping and aided in the re-working. More kudos for you guys later when we fully launch the frame. Thanks also to Pete Hogan of Pro-Shot for supplying the ally castings. The situation at this moment is we have a few cast V frames to go out on final test. We have a further fifty frames on order from Pro-Shot that will be available for purchase in around six weeks – then we will see what the response is like!
The TriGrip is OTT Only: 143g in weight – 84mm outside of the forks – 20mm Fork tips
Overall length is 125mm – fork tips slope towards the shooter by five degrees and a radius is added to allow a straight wrist adaptation – TriGrip can be braced or pinch gripped.
The frame is fully triangular in section with a large radius on the waist of the handle area.

SIMPLE SHOT HAMMER XT
And at almost the same moment, the mighty powerhouse of the slingshot world, Simple Shot Shooting sports has just launched a new head for the HAMMER platform of slingshots, called HAMMER XT. It looks bloody awesome! A real engineering tour-de-force.
