The Pen & The Sword

RIGHT! As the war on this tiny enemy deepens, my ‘pen’ has become ‘sword’. As in mightier than, since we cannot attack it with steel. It becomes clear that while my job is definitely NOT key, there are darn fine reasons why I must crack on and make issue four of Slingshot World magazine. Both are to do with mental well being, mine mostly and yours, dear reader, definitely.

Because whether it be baking, fishing or the game of pool for Paulie Scholes, any decently complex and absorbing pastime that awakens your love and passion is damn fine.

Slingshots are such things.

This activity can distract you so that while you are doing it, there is little room for much else, emotionally. Carp fishing has been of provable benefit to PTSD sufferers. And Slingshot World magazine can absorb you and commandeer your attention.

I take a long run up to bring you killer catty content, with beautiful pictures and stuff that’s worth reading and even returning to. It is a proper labour of love for me. My designer works from home and he too has a key NHS worker for his wife, as does band set maker Richard Rogers. We are all as fretty as hell about our partners, as are you…

All magazines ONE, TWO & THREE are still available (HERE: https://slingshot-world.ecwid.com/ )and are sent out with NO contact with anyone, within a very close distance to my house, using plastic envelopes and address pockets, via the online Click & Drop service.

Fear not, we have some awesome stuff going in the mag for issue four. NEW slings and finishes from Pro-Shot and WASP. The deeper skinny on the SLINGSHOT MASTERY COURSE from Nathan Masters with SimpleShot Shooting Sports, a detailed review of the DRAGON KING II from China (an adjustable everything-sling for target shooters) and the bonkers and mighty Saunders Pro-X starship extended reach Wrist-Rocket!

We have new ammo, new tech (to us anyway) on the fancy sights front and I have some absurd other stuff. The flat plan (what is intended by design to go in the mag) has had to change with the loss of the ESF event but I have a report of the Ripleys Rippers/Welsh Warriors shoot and also the previous SSF shoot outdoors ‘oop norf!

Stay Calm and Shoot On!
