JOB: US Invasive Species Control Officer

WANT TO WORK IN FLORIDA? Following our cook-out recipe with Zachary Fowler in Issue Seven of Slingshot world magazine, (Out NOW on sale HERE: https://slingshot-world.ecwid.com/Slingshot-World-Issue-7-p508147061) We have learned about a slingshot job! A career opportunity in the USA, for a pest controller to control iguanas at a golf resort and spa, in Florida.

It is a full-time post, for proven slingshot crack shot, as invasive reptile controller. Package includes accommodation and use of all leisure facilities except golf. The post seeks an expert, with people skills, sensitivity, and dedication. An EB-1 US employment visa for overseas nationals that have extraordinary ability, will be processed for you, subject to suitability. The post is a six month contract, with optional extension beyond that. Salary $80k, with use of company dedicated departmental transport. (Signwritten resort golf buggy.)

Having seen the higher hit rate than airguns, of Zachary Fowler, and that slingshots are not as threatening in appearance as airguns or smallbore rifles, it is expected that you will be working on the golf course while it is open, so knowledge of golfing etiquette is a requirement. You will need to prove your expertise to the grounds chief executive, with video and stills evidence.

Apply via PM through Adam Rayner or the Slingshot World page on Facebook. We gather the resort learned of UK expertise through Zachary Fowler and came up with the job idea. The iguanas make a terrible mess and are not a good look on a boat dock.

STOP PRESS: We gather John Jeffries has been approached by a specialist hospitality sector headhunting firm and is being offered more than contract, (he said) “It was one of the weirdest Facebook messenger calls I ever had. Looks like I’ll be spending summer in Florida”

That was fast….

APRIL 2ND ADDENDUM: It was of course, all piffle… Yet John said he would have taken that job like a shot, and we decided that an organised Slingshot World Florida Trip to shoot Iguanas could be a real thing. I think I shall make some enquiries!
