Clever lad, ties wicked bands and now, has G10 frames

G10 Goodies from KCB

Kieran’s Catapult Bands, advertisers in Slingshot World magazine, are hitting the ground running, with the introduction of G10 slingshots. This is a serious step. It’s a simple cut and shape of a goodly slab of the magical prototyping material. It’s very hard stuff and yet takes awesome shape details when carved and smoothed, and after a daft conversation about what to call it, it is literally The SlingWithNoName. It’s styled after the SPS, with a slight bulge-down/up of the handle and is 8mm thick, has 22mm fork tips, a 41mm fork gap, and is 120mm long. I love that at no point did he worry about what to call it. I have worked with many tech types and Kieran is pure engineer. Just like WASP, who have only one who enjoys thinking up the names, it literally matters not to the engineer, who just strives to get the best job done that they can. This looks a corker…

The new G10 slingwithnoname from Kierans Catapult Bands
The SlingWithNoName

Available as a whole intro kit with bands and ammo or else just the frame for £35 (posted) at time of writing, it is bonkers value for money for a G10 catapult. You will have seen G10 designs from WASP in the past and Martin ‘Whippet’ was once famous for working with it. My very first real slingshot purchase was a G10 in orange, by Martin and it remains a top three favourite of mine. The SlingWithNoName is simple and one-layer, keeping the cost keen.

The best value has to be to buy one with KC bands: You add just a fiver to make it £40 posted for the frame and three band sets and add just another fiver to add 100 9.5mm steel balls for £45. Three band sets and 100 9.5mm steels for a tenner? Along with that £35 G10 sweetie? That’s a steal!
