THIS is from Lee Harrison of the WKCC:
“I am the founder and organiser of a slingshot sport club in Pembury, called West Kent Catapult Club.
I am also on the committee for the United Kingdom Slingshot Association and work with Kent Police against catapult crime in the community by allowing the police to escort offending youths to my club where I teach them how to shoot properly and help them realise it is more rewarding to win trophies in a tournament rather than being antisocial.
I have also been contacted by the home office policy advisor regarding future meetings concerning potential changes to government policy towards catapults.
At my club WKCC, I have been holding tournaments throughout the year which have proved very successful. We have had shooters from as far afield as Yorkshire and South Wales coming over for a one day event.
We are now at the stage where we want to hold a national tournament in the South East run by the UKSA. We have the backing of Kent Police who will possibly be in attendance at some points and have received positive exposure from the media (see links below)

We are looking for a venue where we could have woodland access for our target course and a field that could have 60-80 people in tents and campervans.
(see links below for an idea of what a tournament entails)
We are planning to hold this event over the Aug bank holiday, from 27th – 30th and I was wondering whether you know of anywhere I can enquire?
I can provide contact details for a police sergeant with whom we do our initiative, for reference.
Thanks in advance

So, whom do we know down that part of the world?(Ed.)
